Mitsubishi Lancer Specials in Harvey, LA

The Mitsubishi Lancer: Ready to Turn Heads

Driving around Harvey in the Mitsubishi Lancer is sure to turn heads and the people you pass won't even know half of the story. The Lancer is offered with all-wheel drive, a rare option in its segment, and gives you one of the top warranties available in the U.S. Every trim offers all-wheel drive as a way to give you stability on uneven terrain or in those tough rain storms. Wherever you go, you will be sitting in comfort and driving in style in Mitsubishi Lancer.

What Was Updated in the 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer?

For the 2017 model year, the Mitsubishi Lancer has a few minor changes, but still remains the same sedan that drivers know and love. There is some shuffling of trim levels, including the GT model officially leaving the lineup, leaving behind only trims that offer all-wheel drive. You will also notice that the higher trim levels now have 18-inch wheels for better style and road handling. Mitsubishi also improved safety on the 2017 Lancer, making the previously optional rearview camera a standard feature. This newly standard feature includes the touchscreen audio system as well. Other than those adjustments, you will notice a very familiar Lancer at Ray Brandt Mitsubishi, although the newly standard features make it well worth opting for the 2017 model over the 2016. Whichever one you choose, you will get heated side mirrors, a split-folding rear seat, seating for five, a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, and automatic air conditioning.

What You Want to Know about the Mitsubishi Lancer History

The Lancer arrived as a replacement for the aging Mirage as a 2002 model year, although a model of the same name had been offered abroad for many years. In fact, the Mirage-based Lancer was available in Japan since 1988. Since the Lancer's American debut, this model has become a symbol of the Mitsubishi brand and one of its most popular models. The Lancer Revolution, the rally edition, was revealed in the middle of 2002 with its 271-horsepower engine and 17-inch wheels. The Lancer Sportback joined the lineup in 2004 with a hatchback body style. The Lancer was also redesigned for the 2004 model year, getting new fascias, new bumpers, and halogen headlights. The Sportback model and LS trim would both be eliminated for the 2005 model year. In 2006, Mitsubishi gave the Lancer new fascias along with airbag sensors for the front seats, wheel covers, and running lights.

The 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer got another overhaul, with new styling, proprietary features, and improved driving. The following year, a Ralliart model arrived with sportier styling, sport-tuned components, and 237 horsepower. The Lancer once again received styling updates for 2010, including revamping and shortening the antenna, upgrading the taillamps, improving the sill extensions, and adding a wagon body style. For 2011, Mitsubishi added electric-assist power steering and brake regeneration technology with drum brakes. The rearview camera became an option for the 2012 model year, giving drivers another way to stay safe wherever they went.
